New Beginnings

Hello interwebs!  I haven’t blogged like this in a while - a space where I actually write words, post pictures and talk about my life.  Back in highschool I went through a period of time where I thought I would be an amazing fashion blogger…don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t bad at it.  I wasn’t fantastic either.  My goal now is to improve upon that old blog via this new slate.  So here it is in all of its glory - FKA Bean.  Enjoy

Net-a-Porter has just kindly informed me that cross body bags are in.  Fantastic! I own several of these, and now I have an excuse to buy more! I click through to the ~shop the editorial~ section and see a glorious array of Gucci to Loeffler Randall and Fendi.  With much reluctance, I update my preferences to price low to high, because who am I kidding, I don’t have hundreds to drop on that Gucci bag.  No matter how beautiful it is, or how perfectly it would go with that one dress I own.  Okay, page is loading up.  My eyes slowly roll to the back of my head as I am reminded that in the world of Net-a-Porter, cute cross body bags do not exist below the $300 mark.  You know what does exist below the $300 mark? Like, hundreds of cheap yet acceptable bottles of white wine. Missing Montreal

These were the last photos I was able to snap when I was still in Montreal.  I love how the city always seems to be so alive even if it's buried under feet of snow.  In the summertime there's people everywhere and there's lots of festivals.  This was taken on a day where we decided to go out and walk up and down Mont-Royal Ave. and check out all the things going on in the street such as poetry readings and street foot!  Definitely miss it. Casual Weekdays

I'm loving the fact that comfort is becoming a significant part of style nowadays.  Though dressing up is always fun, it's nice to just throw on some sneakers and be on my way.  As finals are coming and papers are due, being super fancy isn't really a prerogative.  Isaac and I photographed this particular outfit a few days ago on our way to get some food before a quiet night at home surrounded by books.
