Beautiful Days

Image
Yesterday was absolutely wonderful.  I woke up without setting an alarm with the sun shining through my window warming up my bed.  I love Sunday mornings because it's as if the world has slowed down and you have a moment to breathe.  Being a full-time university student in the middle of midterm exams and writing papers, I definitely could use that moment to breathe. NYFW Street Style

Image
I don't know about you but I'm incredibly jealous of anyone who gets to be in NYC right now.  Hopefully (hopefully hopefully hopefully) I'll be living there this summer but right now I'm watching all the fun happening from afar.  If you're as big a blog-peruser as I am you probably have been bombarded with images of street style from NYFW but I thought to compile some of my favorite snaps I've discovered recently.  Great for inspiration!  Love the trends of the puffy coats in bright colors (totally coveting  this  jacket from Shrimps) and stylish ankle boots.

Belated Valentines Day

Image
Isaac really hates Valentines Day.  Not that I'm a huge fan of the commercialization etc, but I think it's nice to have a day designated to spend with a significant other.  Of course, it was freezing here in Montreal but we did our best to have some nice time together.  The plan was for ice skating but the cold canceled those plans, so it was a day full of yummy food (poutine and beavertails oh my!) and nice company.  Also, very good coffee at one of my favorite places in Montreal - Humble Lion Cafe.   Coat - Zara / Skirt -Brandy Melville / Shoes - Nordstrom's / Purse - Marc Jacobs

Sweater Dress

Image
I promised myself that no  I would not buy anymore coats after this one.  It was on sale at Zara the other day and I couldn't help myself - I just love the detachable fur collar!  Also, I bought this sweater dress recently and I think I'm going to sleep in it because it is so comfortable.  Admittedly it's not the most flattering thing but when I'm running from class to class and busy thinking about all the papers and exams I have coming up I do value comfort very highly. Dress - Urban Outfitters (sale) / Boots - Blowfish / Jacket - Zara / Gloves - American Apparel

Superbowl Sunday!

Image
Okay, admittedly I'm really not into the Superbowl.  Despite my indifference to sports in general, I am a New Englander and therefore feel obliged to at least have the game on in my living room while I devote my attention to Wuthering Heights - the book I'm currently plowing through.  My roommate is currently making fried pickles (perks of having a Texan roommate) which highly contrasts the smell of the frasier fur candle burning on my desk next to me.  Life lately is insanely busy with the looming horizon dubbed "midterm papers" rapidly approaching.  Although this thought is rather daunting, I'm okay with it because right after midterms (February 27 to be exact) I am hopping on a plane and venturing off to Europe for a week!  I'll post all about my packing progress and such as that approaches.
