Sunny Sundays

Image
Of course in my last post I mentioned wanting to incorporate more color into my outfits...  I think for me this outfit was a slight success in that aspect given the coat and scarf, although the base still has my usual monochrome thing going on.  The weather these past few days has been incredibly wonderful.  After putting on an art show on Friday, I've been in a kind of rehab-mode and today was so perfect.  We ventured outside to take these photos and buy some ingredients for dinner just in time to catch the afternoon light.  Spring has finally begun to arrive in Montreal - finally! I picked up this black dress recently from Sheinside and I'm absolutely in love.  It's so incredibly comfortable and is the perfect thing for me to throw on before running off to lectures.  I do have to say that I thought it would be shorter when I ordered it, and given the fact that I'm quite small it does fall lower on me than I had wanted.  Either way, I'm getting used to the look o

I've definitely been feeling the color lately.  In practice, I normally end up wearing all monochrome blacks lately but I'm loving the idea of throwing bits of color into my outfits.  This Friday is my gallery's Spring Vernissage and I already know my outfit involves some color so stay tuned for that change of pace.

Paris Day 3

Image
Right now in Montreal it's super cold (19 F) and I'm dreaming of the weather I had in Paris when I was there two weeks ago.  The third day I spent in Paris was most likely my favorite.  We woke up in the morning and helped ourselves to some lovely almond croissants from the neighborhood boulangerie right across from the metro station and made our way towards Notre Dame.  Being the American tourist I am, I had to see the beautiful cathedral at least once during my stay in Paris, and although I didn't make it inside the doors I enjoyed munching on my croissant outside and staring at the impressive building.  The rest of the day was spent in between Musée d'Orsay and wandering Le Marais in search for the perfect fromagerie.  We also popped into an Acne store to droll over some of their new arrivals which I had no way of affording and enjoyed delicious hot chocolates in a cozy cafe by the fire. Hello all!  Here's some photos from my second day in my European adventure.  We spent most of the day either in Montmartre or shopping along les grands boulevards.  I also made some awesome purchases during the day such as a Comme des Garçones wallet, Chanel lipstick and Sandro jeans. Paris - Day 1

Image
Hello lovelies! Sorry for being so MIA lately.  I'm currently in Geneva visiting my good friend Solène so we have been extremely busy.  I'm going to space out my posts among the rest of the days here - so here's some things from my first day in Paris!  We spent Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in Paris exploring and enjoying the city.  It was wonderful! On Sunday we covered all the touristy sight-seeing places but we also were able to have brunch at a wonderful little café near where we were staying. Jacket - J Crew / Dress - Urban Outfitters
